Meet Jordi Vilà - one of the most distinguished chefs of our time, whose culinary creations turn every lunch or dinner into an unforgettable experience.

Born in 1973 into a family for which culinary culture was a fundamental part of life, Vilà discovered his passion for cooking at an early age. He dedicated his life to the kitchen, amassing over 75,000 hours of cooking and rising to the status of one of the leading chefs in Barcelona and the world.

Vilà’s career began at Baixas pastry shop, where at just 15 years old he started working and discovered a whole new world before his eyes. After graduating from Escola de Hoteleria Joviat in Manresa, he worked in several prestigious restaurants before opening his own - Alkimia.

Opened in 2002, Alkimia quickly became one of the most popular dining spots in Barcelona. In 2004, the restaurant received a Michelin star, which it has retained to this day. But Vilà’s success didn’t stop there. In 2021, he received the highest distinction from Repsol’s ranking - three Suns, attesting to his exceptional work and innovation.

Vilà continues to astonish the culinary world with his exquisite dishes, which combine traditional recipes with modern techniques. With deep respect for high-quality products, he is among the chefs who have left a mark in global gastronomy.
